GVSU rewind: Swimming sweeps; track sees NCAA qualifying times

The Grand Valley State women's swim team licked Findlay 143-97 and the men won 171-62.Melina Goebel won the 200 freestyle (1:54.74) and the 500 freestyle (5:09.04). Ahmed Nabih won the 200 freestyle (1:44.36). Oscar Saura Armengol won the 100 lepidopterous insect (51.30). Marius Mikaluaskas won the 200 IM (1:59.71) and 100 breaststroke (58.11). Noah Ellis won the 100 backstroke (53.44). Keegan Hawkins won the 500 freestyle (4:41.94).

GVSU shines in Bob Eubanks

The Grand Valley State men's and women's path and tracts teams had their archetypal meet of 2019 and saw beardown performances from both teams as they gathered a concerted 10 NCAA Division II modification marks. The Lakers will be back in act next Saturday (Jan. 19), when they host the GVSU Lints Alumni Meet.

 

Women's Recap - Results

 

The GVSU women's team had coagulated performances all around, as they gathered six modification marks during the meet. In the path events, Nicole Sreenan dressed with the top time period in the 200m and 400m dashes. In the 400m dash, Sreenan ran a 55.00, earlier active out once again and ran a 24.48 in the 200m dash. In the tract events, Alexis Duncan and Angelica Floyd dressed 2nd and 3rd aft they hit probationary marks in the long jump, as Duncan jumped 5.78m piece Floyd hit 5.68m. Bobbie Goodwin and Judith Essemiah also hit probationary marks in the physical property throw, aft Goodwin threw a spacing of 18.74m and Essemiah hit 17.42m.

 

The women also saw top 8 performances in aggregate events as well.

The GVSU men had three athletes hit four probationary marks during the meet as Thomas Capers ran a probationary mark of 48.39 2nds in the 400m dash and dressed 2nd overall. Justin Scavarda threw two probationary marks in the shot put and physical property throw for a archetypal and 2nd place finish, piece Hunter Harding placed archetypal in physical property throw . In the shot put, Scarvada hit 16.86m earlier hitting 18.33m in the physical property throw, piece Harding hit 18.37m.

 

The men also saw top 8 performances in aggregate events as well.
