Kennedy Freeman, the 22-year-old girl of former British MMA star Ian Freeman, has autographed a multifight deal with Bellator, sources told ESPN. Kennedy Freeman, whose promotional introduction isn't set yet, will vie in the flyweight division.
After active 6-1 as an amateur, Freeman is 3-0 as a pro.
Her father, whose moniker was "The Machine," had a 20-7-1 MMA record. He is a former Cage Rage heavyweight and airy heavyweight champion, as well as a former HooknShoot and British Vale Tudo champion. His most noteworthy triumph came at UFC 38 when he licked Frank Mir via first-round TKO.
In addition to Freeman, Bellator has also autographed form Contender Series merchandise Sidney Outlaw to a multifight deal, sources say. Outlaw, who will vie in the airyweight division, is 13-3. He beat Michael Cora on Contender Series two years ago but didn't get autographed by the UFC. His introduction fight isn't finalized yet, as well, according to sources.
